summer is here!

It has been awhile since I have written anything. I have been offline for about 6 weeks due to changes in my life. No, I have not moved but yes I do have a new job. With the 40 hours I do a week, I have put the web and trendspotting on a hiatus. But it’s December and I am back. It is 30 to 35 degrees where I live and it is way to hot to be out in the sun- that is unless you are in the water.

Christmas is round the corner and there are a whole list of parties to go to, which means having to find some super outfits. Ah, how lovely. Here are a few of my favourite things: I back load of stuff seeing I haven’t posted in forever.

Perfect to paint the town- Red!

Stylin’ it up with accessories and shoes.

Earthy and sunshine.

Look and Thought of the Day

This is from the Satorialist – great simple office look for summer. In the meantime, I am feeling absolutely dry. Dry in the sense of exactly what you feel in a drought. I have  ( in the last 3 weeks) lost my very mundane job, and me and hubs have made some decisions about moving and then I go back to looking and applying for jobs but this town is so tiny there is hardly anything around. I have been to 3 job interviews this week but everything has been unsuccessful. So, I am in limbo-land where I will keep looking for something to do or work. Other than that, I am inspiring myself at home with the house cleaning (of course!) , watching movies and reading as much as I can. I know when I get to Melbourne, I won’t have time for any of this and will be in the workforce-full time and bringing home the bacon! Lotsa love, Sash

Just looking at the eye-candy at the Paris Fashion Week shows. This season I am admiring the long sleeve short dress with great prints- this one by Josh Goot.  Miss C outside Colette Dinnigan show, yay for the Aussies!

This look is a definition of chic and smart at the same time. I love my Converse too! Oh yes, the Balmain shoulders, nice.

roadtrip

I’m so excited ! Me and my boy have decided to go on a little roadtrip adventure after the school term is over. We will be hitting the coast and travelling all the way down south to Victoria. We have made up our mind to make that big move back to Melbourne (and I am screaming with excitement inside). This time I don’t really want to fly back because we have way to many things accumulated including our car.

Airlie Beach has been good for the past 12 months but we both are not backpackers or country people, young and I need a Real Job! So, now comes the planning, packing and saying goodbye to this place we have called home (our sea change).

The weather in North Queensland is already hitting the far 20s and coming into the early 30s (if you get what I mean) and as much I love the warm weather sometimes, I long to be able to put on a thick coat and layer my way along. Loving these spring looks. It’s as simple as tossing on a thick jacket or coat and some great leggings.

I love this look- the stripe dress.

This look is put together so well. The shoes and accessories with the black ensemble.

More stripes.

I already have denim jacket for the season. Cute!

Hippie luxe. I have just eyed a black maxi dress. Maybe pair it with ethnic wraps?

Anna Dello Russo, fashion director at large of Vogue Nippon (Japan) has been said to have fearless fashion sense. She has simple basics in her wardrobe but has some stunning little beauties as well. Who else but none other than the Satorialist has started photographing her- and that always gets the fashion world watching. This is just one picture – of the very many!

What I wanted to post was a few of my favourite things collection that Garance Dore did on Anna Dello Russo.

She has the most extraordinary collection of accessories and dress and not to forget 4,000 pairs of shoes! I’m jealous:P
